Mayor of Kitakyushu is postponing decision of radioactive garbage（北橋市長：がれき受け入れ判断は先送り／2012年3月19日・北九州市議会予算委員会）

Mr. Kenji Kitahashi, mayor of Kitakyushu city, attend the budget committee of assembly held at 01:00 PM, Mar 19th, 2012, and replied the question to eager to accept radioactive garbage. He stated that he make expert committee to study the problem of radioactive garbage. He is postponing the decision.

がれき受け入れ、北九州市が具体策検討へ
　東日本大震災で発生したがれきの処理について、北九州市の北橋健治市長は１９日の市議会予算特別委員会で、「情報収集の段階から一歩踏み出す」と答弁し、受け入れに向けて具体的な検討に着手する方針を示した。
　北橋市長は「具体的な支援先を決め、受け入れの対象とする震災廃棄物の種類や、運搬方法、最終処分の方法などを専門家を交えて検討したい」と述べた。ただ、受け入れの可否については、「検討結果を示した上で、最終的に判断する」とした。
　がれき受け入れを巡って同市議会は１２日、市に受け入れを求める決議を全会一致で可決。市は環境省が宮城県女川町で開いた説明会に職員３人を派遣した。
